Video essay

I have always found myself looking up and wondering how trees can grow through any situation. How they lose everything during the winter but somehow still manage to bloom in the spring. Any free time I have ever I usually just look up. Then something happened and I stop looking.

Then it happened again for the first time when I was in Savannah at the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023. I found myself in a tough situation and not understanding myself or my thoughts. I was on set one day and just looked up. I don’t know what made me do it but I did. I discovered the beauty of trees and how the wind makes them dance ever so slightly. I smiled for the first time in a long time.

This is what made me want to photograph these trees. I spent the rest of the time while I was down there photographing trees that I found beautiful.
